I was browsing through the archives in my melancholy and found the post where Sergei drew an eye monster thing based on one of my chicken scratches, haha.

So here's a before bed sketch I did last night. It's interesting incorporating themes and palettes that I never use in my work(pink?!).

Here's some Conjure the Beast progress stuff. The ink makes me wanna hurl myself off a bridge. It smears endlessly. UGH.

This guy.. threw me off quite a bit when they decided to have a more cartoony look overall. It's strange to me, I always feel like my stuff is very cartoony to begin with. Ahh!

To be less vague:
First, this is simply an excerpt/exercise, I'm not getting crazy and making an actual comic >__>

Elm and Kingdom seek shelter in an underground city to avoid traveling in a severe sandstorm. The city was mostly evacuated because of an earthquake earlier in the story (like chapter 2, these pages take place around chapter 6).

Kingdom leaves Elm to go scouting because the lower levels are where the arenas + dogs/gladiators were and their trainers are pretty much assholes so only high level doods were taken. Low level and dogs in training were left behind. They're not friendly. And are just kinda creepy. and punch things. cats

Brothers [Vulture final]

I kind of went around in circles with this until I realized it wasn't working at all and is pretty unsatisfactory all around. I had to crop most of the picture out to make this slightly presentable offering.
Sucks, but it happens! I finished it anyways.

Mostly I don't feel like wrangling with my scanner so there ya go. Gloomy room shot.

I had a lot of ideas with how to present/set up the comp so I might work through a couple of them but this was a moment I liked + I get to draw a lot of hands = funtimes. Don't really have much else to say, gonna just chip at it. B|

Vulture

Vulture ala Last Dove. They crawl out of the underworld to ~~touch your butt~~ gather the essence of those who have been slain. By themselves they aren't particularly dangerous but their presence tends to make people uneasy because of what they represent. Accidental deaths have been reported in their wake. Most cases involve the parties untimely demise while frantically trying to flee.

Final will probably be ink by hand and may or may not be colored. We'll see. + Environment and hopefully more clarity in the final too.

Just gonna quietly assume no one else is doing this... .
