This guy.. threw me off quite a bit when they decided to have a more cartoony look overall. It's strange to me, I always feel like my stuff is very cartoony to begin with. Ahh!

OMG DUDE, you're improving in leaps and / or bounds! That or you might not have posted as much before, and were finally seeing what you have been up too. I am really digging your ink / pencils with digital colors and I think you really found and made it into your own style.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is you probably already know, but even though they're all different, some of your characters have a very similar vibe. I they're all sort of slender and have that look of sadness / despair / longing.
I really dig the dandy snappy dresser guy, he definitely has that attitude that makes me want to slap him with a white leather glove and challenge him to a duel.
That mother harpy sketches look awesome, and unlike the previous sketches, so if you have to twist your people around and make them into caricatures to give them uniqueness, I say go for it!

Yeah! These are characters/scenes outside last dove shit so they'll be a bit different. Of course.. there still is that dark undertone I just can't escape, heheh. They've been fun to design.
