Let's just say I shit my pants when I found this at the library of all places. I had my eye on this book for a long while now and it's just as good as I thought it would be. Initial interest in his work came from his sketches, of course. The linework and sheer energy is pretty unreal.
This book has a lot of insight on his art, philosophy, process, what it's like to work for Marvel, ect. Nearly every piece is accompanied by an explanation and it's just as pleasing to read as viewing the artwork itself. He doesn't have an official website, but google will turn up a handful of images if you're interested. Which you should be.

Did I mention his hair is badass? Cause thats important. Also he's self-taught.. Just saying, busting your ass is never in vain.

phone RIP

Idk how or why but my phone isn't turning on now. It died during my shift at work. :( and has been on the charger for hours and keeps trying to turn on with no victory in sight...all seems lost. Had it less than a year too, need to get a new battery to see if that helps.

So last night was the craziest dream I've ever had, and I thought I would try to illustrate what I saw, so this is the dude who sent the ragtag group of people out to save a tree woman spirit thing from being captured by a beast cause that would lead to the destruction of the forest. Which is always a bad thing!

hey long time no post! -_- kinda defeats the purpose I know, but I come bearing gifts!


I started with the wanderer dude and then sketched on top of each one till you end with the fro dude. It was an interesting workout. :)

How do I be does sculpt?

I have one day left to finish this so I'll whine tonight then mope around tomorrow until it is done.

I've successfully psyched myself out of ever doing maquettes again, forever. The old base was torn apart in favor of something more sturdy, however it is still extremely top heavy.

I accidentally grabbed a pack of silver instead of grey so he's covered in bits of glitter now. Also, the third batch I mixed was darker. Not a big problem if/when I paint it, but it's a pain in the ass right now because nothing looks cohesive.

In short, I hate it and wanna drop it in the trash can. I know what needs to be done but my skills are so subpar..

Here's some more daily stuff. Gonna do some more intense lighting cause I'm finding it really interesting recently.. and my mood and atmosphere is kinda crap so! Been listening to We're Alive while I sculpt, which I'm totally digging. It's nice when I'm reclusing it up in my room.




Bottom one inspired by WA and Walking Dead comic.. well part 1 on the collected edition. They switched artists for part 2 and it looks like whoever did it was inking with their butt. Which may be an amazing feat but ugly art means no Seta.

Even more WIP

This is a progress for my final, I've decided to do a maquette of my Fisherman character. I ran out of clay because I underestimated how big I intended to make it. I really don't wanna drive all the way to michael's, but alas.. >:|

Tiasu costume stuff. Overall warmth with the cool coming from the blue face paint.

a Pair of queens

Im chomping right through the number cards, but the face cards are going to be difficult. In fact, most face cards, are unique. Like all 4 queens on a standard french deck made by bicycle  are all different.

SO here is a test piece / sketch that I did for the queen of clubs

I also did another test piece of a queen, but the one above came out WAAAAy better.
