a Pair of queens

Im chomping right through the number cards, but the face cards are going to be difficult. In fact, most face cards, are unique. Like all 4 queens on a standard french deck made by bicycle  are all different.

SO here is a test piece / sketch that I did for the queen of clubs


I also did another test piece of a queen, but the one above came out WAAAAy better.

    Yeah, I like the upper one. Screw the topsy-turvy "two-torso" cards.

    I'm not sure which I prefer. The typography on the first one isn't working for me. The second one is interesting, perhaps bring in more elements that you used on the interior cards. It seems a bit plain.

    Which isn't bad, I guess it just depends on what direction you want to go.
