This is the official list for who trades to who with all sketchbooks! From here on out know who you trade to and give them something to look at when you pass the book along. :)
1. Shawncee
2. Joshua
3. Bo
4. Holly
5. Colin
6. Sergei
7. Cindy
You always pass to the next person on the list...so for example Josh (#2) passes his book to Bo (#3), and receives a book from Shawncee (#1). This goes for everyone...pass to the person next on the list and receive a book from the person before you.
SPECIAL RULE: the last person on the list will always pass to the first person on the list...
ex) Cindy (#7) will pass her book to Shawncee (#1).
Hope this helps

Took a break from cutting prints and scanned the sketches from the book I currently have. You can get them from my site. I'll post here when I update it again.

Sorry the scans are kind of weird, I didn't wanna break the binding trying to lay it flat..
Here's my first sketch from ages ago it feels like.
Take care.

Teea
Here is a character from my possible comic one day that I will make or maybe not because using punctuation is totally over rated look how long I can keep the sentence running its fucking incredible i wish i went into creative writing instead of art.
Also, yes i know here hand is retarded, don't point it out.

Lab
I did these on monday after class at the computer lab. Watching statrek the next gen, listening to a podcast, eating a burrito at the music library. I basically made the lab into my own fucking living room. Like a boss.

So David managed to talk to me 5 min. before the next class started and completely shunned everything I worked on in class in favor of an alternate sketched composition, so here it is...
Still working on color comp and robot-to-main figure proportions, but I think I'm happier with this version.
The barcode thingy at the bottom is a stand-in for my attempt at bringing in that "schematic" element he liked about my other sketch. I'm gunna try and turn it into a sort of ANSI representation ala new ipod/android barcode things.
C&C welcome!

It can be done
In light of my current commission.. >_>
By Louve
There is also Lackadaisy and Blacksad, of course. I've always admired artists whose work continues to kick ass regardless of their subject. One day!

Fffff
Had to reformat my computer. Photoshop 7 is aggravatingly slow, I don't really understand how I got anything done before. Plus side is I found an old brush that I hated then but like now. Hurhurhur
hey I wanted to show this off I know it ain't illustration but this year at the Asolo Art Film Festival this was the WINNER for BEST PRODUCTION by SCHOOLS!
So yeah killer, it just goes to show what you can do with a simple subject and how you can really make an impact.
This gave me goosebumps on my tv and with bose sound. holy shit it was amazing.

New Sketchbook Format
Ok, we're gunna see how this works out go from there on how we felt about the procedure.
What happens is a list of categories and words are generated (via dice rolls and a chart) and we all pick, combine, and group these words any way we want. This list is based on a Basic Generated sheet and if we like this format, there are more complex options which go from Basic to Creature and Objects/Weapons, etc.
Something to keep in mind - You do NOT have to use every word listed. The guide recommends using at least two to three. Later, we may decide on rules making it mandatory to use all of them, but for now, just do what you want.
Once you've become familiar with the words, the rules say to group them into Major Forms and Minor Forms. In the book, the example was making the Major Form as what the object was, aka "made of" or creature main form. The Minor Form was what the object's function consisted of. In the case of the book, it was a Shelled Frog that was also an Incense Burner.
Hope I haven't over complicated things! I'll bring the book to class if anyone wants to look at possible explanations/examples. Good Luck everyone!

Paper Matters
I haven't done any "serious" watercolor since last.. last semester? And I was totally inspired by you doods in the watercolor class and Blacksad ffff. So I decided to relearn (not that I ever really knew what I was doing LOL) But holy shit, does paper matter or what. I switched to a hot press fabriano and the colors slide like butter. MMMmm. I hate the texture on cold press so this is kind of exciting.
